DATA COLLECTING
The Data Collecting Section highlights C.A.R.c.E commitment to evidence-based research and informed policy advocacy. Data is at the heart of our work — shaping how we understand, interpret, and act on the challenges facing India’s maritime and coastal sectors.
Our data initiatives focus on areas such as marine pollution monitoring, socio-economic mapping of coastal communities, IUU (Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated) fishing patterns, maritime law awareness, disaster resilience, and climate vulnerability assessment.
Through collaborative field studies and technology-enabled surveys, we collect, analyse, and visualise data that reflects real-world coastal dynamics. This information supports not only our internal research but also guides policymakers, NGOs, and academic institutions in developing sustainable solutions.
C.A.R.c.E. ensures transparency and accessibility by converting raw data into simplified infographics, dashboards, and reports empowering the public to make informed decisions and take action. By integrating scientific accuracy with community participation, our data projects embody our “think-and-do” approach, using facts to fuel transformation and evidence to inspire impact.
At C.A.R.c.E., data is more than numbers, it’s a story of the sea waiting to be told, studied, and safeguarded.
